process for The 2014 Edington Next Practice Awards opened earlier this
month.
The Next Practice Awards recognize organizations that are actively
engaged in the pursuit of a healthy, high-performing workplace and
workforce. The Award specifically acknowledges companies that
demonstrate unique approaches to improving the wellbeing of workplaces
and employees and excel in innovation and initiatives.
“Businesses large and small must truly invest in their health and
productivity management measures in order to achieve an employee
workforce that is dedicated to wellness,” says Robin
Widdis, Business Unit President at CBIZ. “Business owners and
executive ranks must take a collaborative approach with the entire
workforce to bring about total employee engagement, which leads to
improved productivity and performance.”
Winners of the Next Practice Awards and the Great Beginnings Award,
which recognizes organizations that have just begun their wellness
journey and are focused on becoming future innovators, will be selected
based on the pillars of successful pursuit of achieving a healthy work
environment: Pillar I, Senior Leadership; Pillar II, Operational
Leadership; Pillar III, Self Leadership; Pillar IV, Recognition and
Rewards; Pillar V, Quality Assurance. More than one award may be given
for each of the five core pillars in both divisions.

pre-qualification survey between now and Dec. 31, 2014. Those that
meet the pre-qualification threshold will be invited to complete the
Next Practice Award application, which will be open between Nov. 15,
2014 and Jan. 15, 2015. Award recipients will be notified on March 2,
2015 and announced publicly on March 10, 2015. Winners will receive the
Next Practice or Great Beginnings showpiece, the opportunity to
participate in one-on-one brainstorming sessions with Dee Edington,
Ph.D., and each will be invited to speak about their organization’s
progress in achieving a higher standard of wellness across the employee
population.
